Take the friction away from an object, making it slippery (Making likely to fall out of the holder's hands, or for the holder to fall off of it in the case of a chair or couch)
Supercharge small objects with kinetic energy and send them flying at superspeed
Run up walls (Nothing less than a 90 degree angle [no ceilings]
Can slide around as if skating by decreasing friction
Can stop himself from turning with the earth, thus flying backwards at 1,000 mph (He better look out, cause if somethings in the way, SPLAT)
Can fire kinetic energy blasts
Can create a kinetic energy shield

Personality: James is a shy person, always made fun of for his love of physics. He tends to keep to himself, and is incredibly socially awkward. To make matters worse, he doesn't speak very good English.
History: James is was born in Lyons, France. When he was a child he had a love for physics, but besides that, his life was fairly normal. He grew up, and went to college at École Normale Supérieure de Lyon. When he was 21, he found work in a kinetic physics lab. The lab seemed normal enough, and he worked there until he finished his degree, but then things got strange. The head of the lab let him in on their secreet plan, to create a tangible kinetic energy source, that could be used to power houses, cars, anything! He worked with them on it, but disaster struck when it was almost done. The energy simply exploded, overwhelming all of the scientists with it's power. Most died, but for some reason, instead of killing James it gave him a power over kinetic energy, friction, inertia, momentum, and potential energy.
Equipment: James carries around with him a retractable staff, and a bag of marbles.
Being charged with a massive amount of kinetic energy would do nothing more than make you explode. You should go with a better explanation of powers Also: Can stop himself from turning with the earth, thus flying backwards at 1,000 mph (He better look out, cause if somethings in the way, SPLAT) ^ That's gotta go.
